Use the Zoom Tool for High-Detail Scanning

Overview: This guide explains how to use the Zoom Tool to capture high-resolution scan data for margins and preparation sites.

Prerequisites

  • An initial scan of the dental arch must be completed before using the Zoom Tool.

  • Ensure proper retraction of cheeks, lips, and tongue to maintain a clear field of view.

Scanning with the Zoom Tool

The Zoom Tool functions as a second pass on already existing scan data to increase captured detail.

  1. Select the Zoom Tool: Click the Zoom button located in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.

  2. Activate the Scanner: Turn the scanner on and begin scanning the specific teeth or preparation sites that require more detail.

  3. Optimize Angulation: Maintain proper scanner angulation during the second-pass to ensure the Zoom Tool captures the finer resolution effectively.

  4. Complete the Scan: Turn the scanner off once the high-detail scan of the targeted area is finished.

  5. Deactivate the Tool: Click the Zoom button again to exit the high-detail mode.
