Overview: This guide explains how to use the Zoom Tool to capture high-resolution scan data for margins and preparation sites.
Prerequisites
An initial scan of the dental arch must be completed before using the Zoom Tool.
Ensure proper retraction of cheeks, lips, and tongue to maintain a clear field of view.
Scanning with the Zoom Tool
The Zoom Tool functions as a second pass on already existing scan data to increase captured detail.
Select the Zoom Tool: Click the Zoom button located in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.
Activate the Scanner: Turn the scanner on and begin scanning the specific teeth or preparation sites that require more detail.
Optimize Angulation: Maintain proper scanner angulation during the second-pass to ensure the Zoom Tool captures the finer resolution effectively.
Complete the Scan: Turn the scanner off once the high-detail scan of the targeted area is finished.
Deactivate the Tool: Click the Zoom button again to exit the high-detail mode.
