Chairside continuously monitors your network connection to ensure the best possible performance. If you see a network alert, it means your upload speed has reached a critical level or you are not connected to the internet.
These alerts don’t always stop you from scanning but they help explain why things might feel slower than usual.
What the Alerts Mean
-
Offline Alert: Your device is not connected to the internet. You will be able to scan but will not be able to submit cases until you are back online.
-
Critical Upload Speed Alert: Your network upload speed has dropped below the required threshold. Chairside will remain functional, but you may experience slower performance and longer upload times.
What to Do
If You’re Offline:
-
Check that your Wi-Fi is turned on and you’re connected to your network.
-
Restart your router or modem.
-
If other devices in your practice are also offline, contact your internet service provider.
-
Once reconnected, return to Chairside and confirm the alert clears.
- If you are offline and Chairside has not been started yet, it will be impossible to do so.
If You’re at Critical Speed:
-
Chairside will still work, but uploads may be delayed.
-
Continue working, but be aware that cases may take longer to process.
-
Contact your IT provider or internet service provider directly if the issue persists.
Note: We recommend having a Wi-Fi speed of 15+ Mbps for optimal connection speed. If your current speed is lower, consider upgrading your Wi-Fi by contacting your internet service provider.
